abstract | In some embodiments, the present invention provides a method of treating bronchiolitis in an infant in need thereof after repeatedly administering to the infant a gas mixture comprising nitric oxide at a concentration of about 144 to about 176 ppm for a first period of time. , comprising administering a gas mixture that does not contain nitric oxide for a second time, wherein the dosing comprises: a) an oxygen saturation of 92% or greater in room air as compared to an infant who did not undergo repeated administration of nitric oxide; reduce the length of hospital stay required to achieve; b) reduce the length of hospital stay required to achieve a clinical score of 5 or less, as compared to infants who have not undergone repeated administration of nitric oxide; c) reduce the length of hospital stay required to discharge the hospital compared to infants who have not undergone repeated administration of nitric oxide; d) providing the method repeated for a time sufficient for any combination thereof. |
