abstract | The present invention relates to antibodies produced using afucosylated tobacco and uses thereof. It was confirmed that the antibody produced using afucosylated tobacco according to the present invention has a sugar chain in a different form from that of an antibody produced using existing animal cells, and that fucose is not present in the antibody sugar chain. In addition, it was confirmed that the antibody having the modified sugar chain according to the present invention exhibits superior anticancer effect than the antibody produced using existing animal cells. Therefore, the antibody having a modified sugar chain according to the present invention can be usefully used for the prevention or treatment of cancer. |
