The present invention comprises the steps of mixing a cathode active material for a lithium secondary battery, a lithium-containing compound, an iron-containing compound, and a tantalum-containing compound, in a solvent, which includes a compound represented by the following Chemical Formula 1; drying the mixture to obtain a powder; and calcining the powder to obtain a compound represented by the following formula (1). [Formula 1] Li 1+x Fe y Ta z O 2 In Formula 1, 0<x≤0.5, 0<y≤1, 0<z≤0.5, provided that x+y+z=1. |
