abstract | The present invention relates to a fuel rack for a nuclear fuel assembly comprising a base plate and an array of cells for receiving the fuel assembly. The cell array includes: a plurality of first slot-type plates engaged with each other in a sliding manner to form an upper portion of the cell array and formed of a first material; a plurality of second slotted plates that are engaged with each other in a sliding manner to form an intermediate portion of the cell array and are formed of a second material that is metallurgically incompatible with the first material; and a plurality of third slot-type plates that are engaged with each other in a sliding manner to form a lower portion of the cell array, are formed of the first material, and are connected to an upper surface of the base plate. |
