abstract The present invention relates to monoclonal mouse antibodies targeting a unique sialoglycosylated cancer-associated epitope of CD43, produced by hybridoma cells deposited under ICLC Accession No. ICLC PD n° 16001. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an antibody comprising a heavy chain variable region comprising complementarity determining regions CDRH1, CDRH2 and CDRH3, and a light chain variable region comprising complementarity determining regions CDRL1, CDRL2 and CDRL3, wherein CDRH1, CDRH2, CDRH3 , CDRL1, CDRL2 and CDRL3 comprise the amino acid sequences GFTFSSFGMH, YISSGSGNFYYVDTVKG, STYYHGSRGAMDY, SASSSVSSMYWY, DTSKMAS and QQWSSYPPIT, respectively. The present invention also relates to antibodies that recognize the same epitope.
