abstract |
The present invention relates to - reduced activity of the enzyme encoded by the ptsA-gene, - reduced activity of the enzyme encoded by the ptsH-gene or - reduced activity of the enzyme encoded by the ptsA-gene and ptsH compared to the wild-type - relates to a modified microorganism having a reduced activity of an enzyme encoded by the gene, wherein the wild type from which the modified microorganism is derived belongs to the family Pasteurellaceae. The present invention also relates to a method for producing succinic acid and to the use of the modified microorganism. |
