Improved biocontainers with abrasion-resistant or “cut-resistant” substrates. Such substrates can be combined with current biocontainer materials through various techniques of embedding, co-extrusion, or lamination to maintain clean and low extractables already proven for biotech manufacturing. The choice of substrate may consist of materials oriented to prevent puncture from occurring or materials known as more abrasion-resistant and sharp-edged cuts. The new substrate may be flexible to allow for the conventional folding described by current packaging conventions. The new substrates may consist of materials other than polymers such as metal, glass or carbon, or bonding with polymers. Exemplary pressure tests are also disclosed. |
