abstract | A liquid crystal display device using a polarizer protective film made of a polyester film and having good visibility is provided. A liquid crystal display device having a backlight light source and a liquid crystal cell disposed between two polarizer plates, wherein the backlight light source is a white light source having a continuous emission spectrum, and the polarizer plate has a structure in which polarizer protective films are laminated on both sides of the polarizer, , at least one of the polarizer protective films has a retardation of 3,000 to 30,000 nm, the center plane average roughness (SRa) of the outermost layer surface is 0.008 to 0.02 μm, and the ten-point average roughness (SRz) is 0.3 to 1.5 μm. A liquid crystal display that is an ester film. |
