In the method for producing an ultrafine fiber of the present invention, an electric field is formed between a discharge nozzle for discharging a raw material resin and a charging electrode disposed apart from the discharge nozzle, and the raw material resin heated and melted in the electric field is supplied from the discharge nozzle and has a spinning process. The raw material resin is a resin mixture containing a resin having a melting point and an additive, and also satisfies the following formula (I). A/B ≥ 1.0 × 10 2 (I) In the formula, A represents the absolute value (Ω) of the electrical impedance of the raw material resin at 50°C, and B is the absolute value of the electrical impedance of the raw material resin at a temperature 50°C higher than the melting point of the raw material resin ( Ω). |
