abstract | The present invention relates to a primer set composition for detecting the Acidovorax citrulli strain causing bacterial fruit blotch disease in melons and a method for detecting the Acidovorax citrulli strain using the same. With the detection primer set composition of the invention, it is possible to detect the strain A. citrulli causing the BFB from melon specifically, A. citrulli strain that caused the BFB from melon even within strains of the same species A. citrulli can be detected reliably, sensitively and quickly. Accordingly, the time and cost required to detect A. citrulli strains that cause BFB in melons can be drastically reduced, and it can be useful for early diagnosis in field samples, seed health tests, and international quarantine purposes. |
