titleOfInvention | Electrochemical storage material and electrochemical storage device for storing electrical energy, comprising such storage material |
abstract | The present invention relates to a storage material for storing electrical energy through reduction or oxidation of an active ingredient, said storage material comprising, in addition to the active ingredient, a reactive framework structure in one or more reduced and/or oxidized form wherein the reactive framework structure is capable of chemically incorporating one or more forms of the active ingredient into the framework structure in the form of mixed oxides or alloys during the charging or discharging process. Such integration can be carried out during the formation of one or more stable mixed oxides with the active ingredient and the oxide of the framework structure, particularly in the case of oxidizable framework structures. In the case of metallic framework structures, the consolidation is accomplished through forming an alloy with one or more metals and active components of the framework structure. The ability of the framework structure to incorporate the active ingredient depends on the basic conditions of temperature and oxygen partial pressure. |
