[Problem] A cured film forming composition suitable for formation of a cured film having excellent liquid crystal orientation is provided, an alignment material is provided, and a retardation material is provided using the alignment material. [Solution] The cured film forming composition is selected from the group consisting of (A) one or more compounds having a photo-alignment group, a hydroxy group, and the like, (B): a hydroxy group, a carboxyl group, an amino group, and an alkoxysilyl group. A polymer such as having at least one substituent to be used, and (C) a crosslinking agent are contained, and the component (A) contains at least a compound having a group represented by the following formula [1] as a photo-alignment group. (In the formula, A 1 and A 2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and A 3 represents a hydroxy group, etc.) Using this cured film forming composition, a cured film was formed, and a photo-alignment technique was used. To form an orientation material. A polymerizable liquid crystal is applied on the alignment material and cured to obtain a retardation material. |
