titleOfInvention Electrochemical capacitor
abstract It provides an electrochemical capacitor having a low DC internal resistance and suppressing an increase in DC internal resistance even by high temperature experience. The electrochemical capacitor of the present invention includes a positive electrode having a positive electrode active material layer containing activated carbon, a negative electrode having a negative electrode active material layer containing spinel-type lithium titanate, and lithium disposed between the positive electrode active material layer and the negative electrode active material layer. A separator holding a salt-containing nonaqueous electrolyte is provided, and the 100% discharge capacity of lithium titanate is set in a range of 2.2 to 7.0 times the 100% discharge capacity of activated carbon. In charging and discharging an electrochemical capacitor, only the vicinity of the surface of the lithium titanate particles is used, so that DCIR decreases and stability of DCIR is improved.
