abstract A breathable film formed from a thermoplastic composition containing a hard regenerated polyester and having a structure in which pores are formed is provided. To achieve this structure, a thermoplastic composition containing a regenerated polyester and a polymer toughening additive is extruded to the surface to form a precursor film, wherein the toughening additive will be dispersed as discontinuous physical domains within a continuous matrix of regenerated polyester.
