abstract |
The present invention relates to an oxidatively curable coating formulation comprising an oxidatively curable alkyd-based resin and a bis-triazacyclononane-based chelant, wherein the chelant is a suitable transition metal ion, specifically, to a formulation capable of selectively complexing with manganese. The formulation may be a paint or other oxidative curable coating composition. The invention also provides a method for making such a formulation and a composition resulting from curing of such a formulation. |
