abstract The present invention relates to a method for preparing a cyclic ketone derivative having an increased carbon number by performing a ring expansion reaction from a beta selenyl cyclic ketone derivative. It was first developed by carrying out a ring expansion reaction from the beta selenyl cyclic ketone derivative of the present invention. In particular, it is possible to synthesize a cyclic ketone derivative having an increased carbon number, which is an appropriate yield (up to 81%) and various derivatives, by performing a ring expansion reaction from the beta selenyl cyclic ketone derivative.
