The present invention relates to a zeolitic adsorbent based on small agglomerated crystals of zeolite X comprising barium, which combines optimum properties in terms of selectivity and mechanical strength. Such adsorbents have application in the separation of aromatic C 8 isomers, in particular fractions of xylene, the separation of substituted toluene isomers such as nitrotoluene, diethyltoluene or toluenediamine, separation of cresols and polyhydric alcohols such as sugars. |
