titleOfInvention | Method For Cultivation of Microalgae Using Water Electrolysis |
abstract | The present invention relates to a method for culturing microalgae using a water electrolysis device, and more particularly, an anode; cathode; An anion exchange membrane positioned between the anode and the cathode; And a pair of anode chambers and cathode chambers separated by the anion exchange membrane. Hydrogen ions generated at the anode of the electrolysis device are used to lower the pH of the microalgal culture solution and at the same time at the cathode. It relates to a water electrolysis-based microalgae culture method comprising the step of trapping carbon dioxide supplied as bicarbonate ions using the generated hydroxide ions and supplying the collected bicarbonate ions to an anode chamber through an anion exchange membrane. According to the present invention, the productivity of biomass can be improved by culturing microalgae with an electrolysis device capable of continuously supplying a carbon source and adjusting the pH of the culture medium. In addition, the bicarbonate ions of the present invention are converted from carbon dioxide, which can solve environmental problems and bring economic benefits. |
