abstract | The present invention provides a transverse electric field drive type liquid crystal display device having high efficiency, imparting alignment control ability, and excellent exposure characteristics. In the present invention, (A) a photosensitive side-chain type polymer that exhibits liquid crystalline properties in a predetermined temperature range, (B) has one primary amino group and a nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocycle in the molecule, and the primary amino group is aliphatic. The above problem is solved by a polymer composition containing an amine compound bonded to a hydrocarbon group or a non-aromatic cyclic hydrocarbon group, and (C) an organic solvent. In particular, [I] a step of applying the composition on a substrate having a conductive film for transverse electric field driving to form a coating film; [II] a step of irradiating polarized ultraviolet rays to the coating film obtained in [I]; and [III ] Process of heating the coating film obtained in [II]; By having, the said subject is solved by the manufacturing method of the board|substrate which has the said liquid crystal aligning film which obtains the liquid crystal aligning film for transverse electric field drive type liquid crystal display elements to which orientation control ability was given . |
