titleOfInvention Method for hematocrit correction and glucose meter adapted therefor
abstract The present invention relates to a method and device for hematocrit correction in connection with glucose measurement, wherein the following measurements are proposed: -Determining the hematocrit reference value of a reference blood sample acquired from a specific user, by a reference instrument 34 such as a laboratory analyzer, -Providing the user's blood sample to the disposable analytical test element 12, -Measuring the glucose value of a blood sample by a single use of the test element 12 in the glucose meter 10, -To determine the hematocrit correction value using at least the hematocrit reference value, -Receiving the adjusted glucose value by adjusting the measured glucose value using the hematocrit correction value.
