abstract The present invention relates to materials useful for lowering the pour point of wax-containing mixtures of liquid hydrocarbons, and compositions thereof, and methods of making the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a liquid hydrocarbon of an OLAC composition containing units derived from (i) a hydrocarbyl (meth)acrylic acid derivative and (ii) an ethylenically unsaturated aliphatic Nα-olefin monomer having 50 or less carbon atoms. It relates to the use of. OLAC compositions are useful for modifying the fluidity and flow characteristics of liquid hydrocarbons, and more particularly for improving the pipeline pumping capacity of liquid hydrocarbons.
