Improved biocontainers with abrasion resistant or "cut resistant" substrates. These substrates can be combined with current biocontainer materials through various techniques of embedding, co-extrusion, or lamination to maintain clean and low extractables that have already been proven for biotech manufacturing. The choice of substrate may consist of materials oriented to prevent puncture from occurring, or materials known as more wear-resistant and sharp-edged cuts. The new substrate may be made flexible to allow for conventional folding as described by current packaging conventions. The new substrate may be composed of a material other than a polymer such as metal, glass or carbon, or a bond with a polymer. An exemplary pressure test is also disclosed. |
