abstract The apparatus can include a first adaptive filter, a second adaptive filter, a filter and a third adaptive filter. The first adaptive filter can be configured to determine the estimated magnitude of the control signal associated with the control means based on the magnitude of the signal from the sensor, the signal representing the operating temperature of the memory system. The second adaptive filter can be configured to determine the estimated operating temperature based on the magnitude of the control signal. The filter can be configured to determine the magnitude of the change in the control signal based on the difference between the magnitude of the signal from the sensor and the critical operating temperature. The third adaptive filter may be configured to determine a throttle rate to apply the control signal based on the magnitude of change of the control signal.
