abstract The present invention relates to a new Lactobacillus salivarius strain and a feed additive for aquaculture fish and crustaceans comprising it as an active ingredient. The Lactobacillus salivarius B4 strain according to the present invention exhibits excellent antibacterial activity against pathogenic bacteria causing diseases of fish or crustaceans. Therefore, by providing a feed additive including the Lactobacillus salivarius B4 strain, its germ and/or culture, it is possible to prevent diseases of cultured fish or crustaceans and contribute to productivity improvement. In addition, unlike the conventional antibiotics, the present invention has no risk of remaining in fish or crustaceans or developing resistant bacteria, and thus can be safely used in aquaculture.
