abstract The present invention relates to a method for controlling the positioning of a CCNY protein into a synapse, comprising: palmitoylating the CCNY protein; specifically, a palmitoyl group in the 7th and 8th cysteine of the CCNY protein. It relates to a method for controlling the targeting of the CCNY protein to the synapse by controlling the addition of. Therefore, the palmitoylation of CCNY, a new post-synaptic protein known to be associated with synaptic plasticity and learning and memory, is a very important process for placing CCNY in the post-synaptic spine, and thus, the intracellular location of CCNY through palmitoylation. By adjusting, it can be seen that CCNY can control what plays an important role in synaptic function.
