titleOfInvention Liquid crystal composition with negative dielectric anisotropy, and liquid crystal display element using liquid crystal composition
abstract A liquid crystal composition exhibiting a negative dielectric anisotropy and a liquid crystal display device using the same. The present invention relates to a liquid crystal composition having a negative dielectric anisotropy (Δε) useful as an electro-optical liquid crystal display material, and a liquid crystal display device using the liquid crystal composition, wherein one or two or more compounds represented by the general formula (I) are used. It provides a liquid crystal composition containing, and further containing one or two or more of the compounds represented by the general formula (II). Accordingly, the liquid crystal composition of the present invention can make it possible to reduce the rate of change of the operating voltage with respect to temperature, and thus it is effective for improving the display quality in the low temperature range. For this reason, it is suitable for an in-vehicle display or a mobile application that is intended for use in a cold region or outdoors.
