The present invention inhibits NO production in a concentration-dependent manner in mouse macrophage line (RAW 264.7 cells) stimulated with LPS (lipopolysaccharide), inhibits the production of inflammatory cytokine TNF-α and PGE 2 , COX, an inflammation mediator. Disclosed is an anti-inflammatory composition using a water hyacinth extract having an inhibitory activity against -2 expression. |
