abstract | The present invention provides a process for the preparation of azoxystrobin intermediates, which comprises: adding a methanol solution of sodium methoxide to Compound A and dichloropyrimidine in the presence of a trimethylamine catalyst, or sodium methoxide and methanol, respectively. Addition, to produce an intermediate mixture representing compound B and compound C. The present invention catalyzes compound A with a trimethylamine catalyst to synthesize intermediate compound B and compound C of azoxystrobin, the reaction being efficient and the yield is high. In addition, the trimethylamine catalyst has a low boiling point and is easy to recover, thereby lowering the ammonia nitrogen content in the wastewater, reducing the difficulty of treating the wastewater and reducing the treatment cost. The recovered trimethylamine catalyst can be used repeatedly for the preparation of intermediate compound B, which has the same high catalytic action and obtains a high production yield.
