The present invention relates to ultrasound contrast agents for diagnosis and treatment based on bilirubin derivatives. The microparticles comprising the bilirubin derivative of the present invention can react sensitively to reactive oxygen species (ROS), bind with hydrophobic drugs, and effectively chelate metals, including iron oxide nanoparticles. Therefore, the microparticles of the present invention can be used not only as a contrast agent for ultrasound diagnosis, but also as a carrier for magnetic resonance imaging contrast agents and hydrophobic and platinum based drugs. |
