It is an object of the present invention to provide an inorganic phosphor having fluorescence properties which emits orange or red light with a longer wavelength as compared to the case of conventional sialon phosphors activated with rare earths. The present invention uses an inorganic compound having the same crystal structure as the CaSiAlN 3 crystal phase as the parent crystal, and M [where M is Mn, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, and At least one selected from Yb] relates to the design of a white light emitting diode rich in red components and having good color rendering properties by using a solid solution crystal phase phosphor added as a light emitting center. |
