The present invention relates to a fusion protein of a C2 domain and an Akt protein fragment, in particular a fragment consisting of the 111-480 amino acid residues from the N-terminus of the Akt protein and the use of said fusion protein. Specifically, the fusion protein according to the present invention increases the activity of Akt protein even under conditions of high calcium concentration, and decreases body weight and fat mass in an animal model ingesting a high-fat diet infected with adenovirus containing the fusion protein. In addition to improving insulin resistance, as well as improving fatty liver, the fusion protein of the fragment consisting of the 111-480 amino acid residues from the N-terminus of the C2 domain and Akt protein can be usefully used for the treatment of metabolic diseases. |
