The method and system according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention allows to optimize the provision of aerosol medicaments. In particular, the system according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention allows the exogenous pulmonary surfactant to be administered to very young patients (eg premature infants). In order to increase the efficiency of drug administration without being invasive, the catheter 101 delivers a nebulized drug directly into the pharyngeal area: it suffers from very young patients, for example neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (nRDS). This is especially important for premature babies. It is possible to connect the catheter with a rigid support (eg metallic) to increase the rigidity of the device and to increase the ease of positioning operation. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, delivery of the nebulized medicament is done by air blasting technology. |
