abstract | The present invention relates to a tablet having a weight of 30 to 200 mg, consisting of: a) 60 to 100% by weight of granules; 50-90% by weight of dihydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) in the granules; 6 to 35% by weight of microcrystalline cellulose in the granules; 0 to 20% by weight of the granules of at least one pharmaceutically acceptable other granule component; And b) 0 to 40% by weight of one or more other pharmaceutically acceptable tablet components. Such tablets may suitably be used for oral administration of DHEA at a dosage of about 50 mg, and are small enough to be included, for example, in ordinary oral contraceptive blister packs. |
