The present invention provides a bioelectrode composition which is excellent in electroconductivity and biocompatibility, can be manufactured at a light weight and low cost, and can form a biocontact layer for a bioelectrode that does not significantly reduce conductivity even when wet with water. It is an object of the present invention to provide a bioelectrode in which a biocontact layer is formed of the bioelectrode composition, and a method of manufacturing the same.
