Various embodiments of the present invention provide a fuel cell connection element comprising an interconnect or a current collector. The fuel cell connection element includes conductive fibers oriented at an angle of less than about 90 ° to at least one electrode of the fuel cell. The fuel cell connection element provides an electrically conductive passage from at least one electrode of the fuel cell to an external circuit, or from at least one electrode of the fuel cell to an electrode of another fuel cell. In addition, embodiments of the present invention include a fuel cell connection element including a fuel cell layer and a method of manufacturing the same. |
