abstract The present invention relates to an ammonia-based desulfurization method through the addition of ammonia to different chambers, wherein the oxidation section comprises an interfacing oxidation chamber and an ammonia mixing chamber, wherein the ammonia adsorbent is added to the ammonia mixing chamber. Preferably, the adsorption-oxidation cycle of the method comprises a liquid circulation between the oxidation chamber and the secondary injection adsorption section and a liquid circulation between the ammonia mixing chamber and the primary injection adsorption section, with at least an oxidation chamber between the two circulations. There is communication through fluid communication between the ammonia mixing chambers. The invention also relates to an apparatus for implementing the method.
