abstract |
The present invention relates to novel compositions of therapeutic cyclodextrins and pharmaceutical compositions thereof having a polymeric compound designed as a carrier for small molecule therapeutic delivery. In particular, the therapeutic / biological agent covalently binds to the cyclodextrin-bearing polymer. Such cyclodextrin-bearing polymers improve drug stability and solubility and reduce toxicity when used in vivo. Moreover, by selecting various linker groups and target ligands, the polymer can modulate the method of delivery of the therapeutic agent. The invention also relates to a method of treating a subject with a therapeutic composition described herein. The present invention further relates to a method of conducting a pharmaceutical business involving the manufacture or application of a kit comprising the polymer compound or associated with the polymer compound described herein. |
