abstract | The first embodiment of the present invention is an antimicrobial dental gypsum composition comprising a calcined stone, an additive, an antibacterial agent and an antibacterial-strengthening substance. Antimicrobial agents include benzoic acid and / or benzoic acid derivatives. The antimicrobial agent ranges from 0.001 to 0.02% by weight of the composition. The antimicrobial-enhancing material includes IPBC and is in the range of 0.0001 to 0.01% by weight of the composition. The benzoic acid derivative may be sodium benzoate, potassium benzoate and / or calcium benzoate. The additive may be a thickener, a retarder, an accelerator, a defoamer, a pigment, a stabilizer and / or a dye and is in the range of 2.5 to 3.5% by weight of the composition. The antimicrobial-enhancing substance may further comprise citric acid, propionic acid, tartaric acid, acetic acid, oxalic acid, malic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, gluconic acid, hydroxyacetic acid and / or methyl isothiazolinone. |
