titleOfInvention Novel Vibrio specific bacteriophage VP4 and antibacterial composition comprising the same
abstract The present invention relates to a novel Vibrio bacteria-specific bacteriophage VP4, and more particularly to an antimicrobial composition comprising the Vibrio bacterium-specific bacteriophage VP4. The bacteriophage VP4 according to the present invention has an extremely high specificity to Vibrio bacteria and has an advantage that it is highly resistant to physicochemical stimuli because of its excellent lytic activity by proliferation in Vibrio bacteria by infecting Vibrio germ. Since the bacteriophage VP4 of the present invention is not infected with any host other than bacteria such as human, animal, and plant, problems of antibiotic resistant bacteria caused by misuse of antibiotics, antibiotic residues in foods, and problems of a wide host range can be solved. A composition for feed addition, a feed, a disinfectant or a detergent.
