abstract A district heating system and a control method thereof are disclosed. In the district heating system and the control method thereof according to the present invention, the driving speed of the secondary pump for supplying and circulating the heating water to each use place in the heating area is varied according to the outside air temperature. Then, since the secondary pump is driven at a proper speed required for heating, energy may be reduced. In addition, since there is no need for a pressure sensor installed in a conventional district heating system, the cost can be reduced.
