According to the present invention, lawson (2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone) (HNQ) decreases the viability of HeLa cervical cancer cells, induces apoptosis by cytotoxicity, causes cell cycle arrest and senescence , Leading to apoptotic pathways. Lawson showed the effect of reducing tumor formation in xenotransplantation nude mice. Thus, it is expected that Lawson according to the present invention can be used as a natural agent for treating cancer, particularly, cervical cancer. |
