titleOfInvention | Light control film |
abstract | The present invention provides a light control film capable of transmitting light only within a field of view centered on a line perpendicular to the surface (vertical line), or allowing an observer to view information. In general, the light control film shields information or light outside this viewing area and provides security in all directions including left and right and up and down of the film. The light control film comprises a plurality of light-transparent cavities surrounded by a light absorbing material, wherein the plurality of cavities are each optically separated from adjacent cavities. Each light-transmissive cavity effectively blocks light entering the cavity outside the viewing (i.e., blocking) angle. |
