abstract |
The present invention relates to an antibody for the assay of botulinum toxin activity, and to an antibody composition comprising said antibody. Currently, the need for the development of a cell-based potency assay (CBPA) to replace the mouse LD 50 bioassay (MLD 50 ) is required in the field of botulinum toxin potency measurement. The antibody for the botulinum toxin activity assay of the present invention is an antibody for CPBA for replacing MLD 50 , and is a monoclonal antibody having remarkably high binding affinity and specificity for SNAP25. In addition, the antibody of the present invention overcomes the limitations of the conventional CPBA and enables development of more effective CBPA, and thus it is expected to be actively used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic fields. |
