The monomer unit of the proanthocyanidin has the following chemical formula. When R 1 is OCH 3, R 2 is OH, R 3 is H, and when R 1 is OH, R 2 is H, R 3 is H, and when R 1 is OH, R 2 is OH, R 3 is H, R 3 is OH and R 4 is 3- (α) -OH, 3- (β) -OH, 3- (α) -O-sugar or 3- (β) -O-sugar.
