titleOfInvention Process for the purification of L-Alpha-glycerophosphorylcholine
abstract The process for purifying L- alpha -glycerophosphorylcholine is described wherein L- alpha -glycerophosphorylcholine is prepared from DMSO or preferably from water, alcohols, halogenated solvents, ethers, esters and / Or from a mixture of DMSO with at least another solvent selected from amides. Such a process makes it possible to obtain L-a-glycerophosphorylcholine having a purity of greater than 99.5%, preferably greater than 99.7%, even more preferably greater than or equal to 99.9%. Elution of L- alpha -glycerophosphorylcholine via an HPLC column with an amino stationary phase, and subsequent detection of L- alpha -glycerophosphorylcholine choline itself, and any impurities thereof, by means of a vapor light scattering detector type A method for determining the purity of L-a-glycerophosphorylcholine is also described.
