titleOfInvention System and method of tissue microablation using fractional treatment patterns
abstract An apparatus for treating tissue includes a first energy application device for applying energy to a tissue of a patient to form one or more channels and a controller for controlling the application of energy to the one or more channels from the first energy application device. The one or more channels may be spiral-like or flower-like. An apparatus is provided that aids in forming an open channel in a human skin structure. A second energy application source may be used to cause the channel to remain open after formation. The controller may cause the first energy application device to form a plurality of channels having varying depths, widths, and distributions across the surface of the human skin. The device for controlling energization may be operated using a pedal pedal.
