abstract | The present invention realizes high polymerization yield and high quality in a simple process as a facility and operation technique that makes deactivation of a catalyst simple, easy, and efficient in the production of a polyacetal copolymer and does not require a cleaning process. The present invention is a process for producing a polyacetal copolymer, wherein trioxane is used as the main monomer (a) and the cyclic ether having at least one carbon-carbon bond and / or the cyclic formal is used as the comonomer (b). In this method, copolymerization is carried out using a predetermined heteropoly acid in the polymerization catalyst (c), a predetermined salt (d) is added to the reaction product, and the resultant is melt kneaded to deactivate the polymerization catalyst (c). The heteropolyacid is preferably selected from phosphorus molybdic acid, tungstic acid and the like, and the salt (d) is preferably selected from sodium carbonate, sodium hydrogencarbonate, sodium formate and the like. |
