titleOfInvention A new classifier for the molecular classification of multiple myeloma
abstract The present invention relates to a method of classifying samples obtained from patients diagnosed with multiple myeloma into three newly defined clusters in the field of molecular diagnostics. The present invention also relates to a method for determining the prognosis of individuals diagnosed with multiple myeloma and a method for predicting response to treatment of individuals diagnosed with multiple myeloma. More specifically, the present invention provides a method for determining the disease outcome or prognosis of a patient diagnosed with multiple myeloma by classifying the patient into a high risk or low risk category based on the 92 gene classifier.
