Methods for producing virus particles with simplified glycosylation of surface proteins |
abstract |
A method for producing virus particles having a simplified glycosylation on a structural protein or a surface protein. When used as a target for vaccine production, vaccines with low susceptibility to viral mutations are produced with conservative properties of these sites. Describes the use of glycosylation inhibitors in the production of viruses with a simplified glycosylation profile. An exemplary description of influenza viruses and methods of producing mono-saccharified influenza virus particles are provided. A method of producing a mono-glycosylated form of influenza A virus, NIBRG-14 (H5N1), is provided. |
