abstract | A recombinant microorganism comprising a DNA molecule in a deregulated form that enhances production of cadaverine or N-acetylcadavulin, as well as recombinant DNA molecules and polypeptides used in producing said microorganism. The microorganism includes intracellular lysine decarboxylase activity and dendritic cadavirin extracellular transport activity, or reduced cadavirin extracellular transport activity and enhanced N-acetylcadavulin formation activity. Methods for producing cadaverine or N-acetylcadavulin using recombinant microorganisms are also provided. |
